Highland Blvd. Bashful Cheerful
Photo Gallery: Sidestreet Scenes

Bashful tries to hide itself between the trees, perhaps figuring that a low profile will spare it the agony of it's listing brother across the way. More likely, it benefits from the tendency of drivers, bound for the Robinson Pkwy, to veer to the left to avoid cars exiting the gas station.

UPDATE 11/98: This pole joined it's cross-street brother in heaven, just this month. I noticed it leaning precariously at the beginning of November, much like it's cross-street bro had been last year. Despite the apparent protection afforded it by the tree, someone found a way to knock into it, probably while trying to enter the gas station from across the street. The Highland Park Cheerful OV25's are now down to 2.
