Neptune Ave Looking East at E. 12th
Photo Gallery: Sidestreet Scenes

Looking east, towards Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay. Neptune goes into Emmons after passing under the Brighton subway line.
The Brighton line, at this end of Brooklyn, looks more like a surface railroad, than either a more typical underground or elevated metro. Indeed, unlike most subway lines, it began it's life in the 1800's as a suburban railroad, heading for the far off country resort beach of Coney Island.
