I went to Ardsley to shoot the crescent-moon shaped incandescent lamps that still hang out here, in strong numbers. With these ancient luminaires still the norm here, I shouldn't have been surprised at running into this fairly ancient blinker signal. It hangs like a bat, over Ardsley Road, at the eastern entrance into the old Westchester County hamlet of Ardsley, which forms part of the Town of Greenburgh, north of Yonkers. |
