I couldn't resist this one. Taken in 1992 at the corner of Avenue J & McDonald Avenue, in Brooklyn. This is the type of setup used for temporary street & traffic lights, after one has been knocked down, or removed for construction. The elevated subway (an oxymoron?) line, running south along McDonald, carries the F train to Coney Island. The street is lined with auto repair shops, small workshops and warehouses. |
