It's hard to find
a Triboro shield sign in good shape that's also reachable, so
I had to settle for this specimen from the Whitestone Expwy service
road and 14th Avenue. Don't ask what the rope is for. I have
no idea.Despite the sign's insistence, nobody in NY ever spells the name of this bridge so formally, Even the newer green overhead directionals call it "Triboro". Businesses named after the bridge are called "Triboro". I wouldn't be surprised if some people, upon seeing this sign, might think it points to a different bridge than the familiar "Triboro" that they're looking for. |
