Though these photos are already 17 years old as I write this in 2018, they are mostly fresh, previously unpublished content for me, most of my prior Brooklyn Queens pages having their genesis from 2000 on back. These photos pick up the Brooklyn Queens story following the Williamsburg split after the Metropolitan Avenue exit, where further Brooklyn bound traffic took the right fork to continue along Interstate 278, while we took the left fork to head over the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan. This entire access road to the bridge was in the midst of massive reconstruction at the time, as was the Williamsburg Bridge itself.
