Queens Boulevard is one of several multi-median secondary roads in New York City, first widened in the 1920s with plans to make it a limited access arterial as similar boulevards like Horace Harding eventually became. Queens Boulevard extends from the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge in Long Island city eastward to downtown Jamaica.
