The Jackie Robinson Parkway, originally named the Interboro, is virtually the only arterial parkway within New York City that remains substantially unimproved from its genesis. Connecting central Queens and Brooklyn, it was never widened to modern highway specs as were its sister parkways like the Grand Central, and remains notorious for dangerous curves and inadequate shoulders.
